Introduction to Bodywork

Your horse’s body is constantly communicating. The challenge is learning how to listen.

At Equine BodyWorks, Becky Tenges uses The Masterson Method® — a gentle, interactive form of equine bodywork that engages the horse as an active participant in the process as the foundation of her work.

This isn’t massage done to the horse. It is therapeutic bodywork done with the horse — unlocking deep-seated tension and allowing freer movement, enhanced comfort, and better performance.

Integrated Equine Bodywork: Listening Through Multiple Modalities

No single method works for every horse — or at every moment. That is why Becky takes an integrated approach to equine bodywork, combining proven techniques with intuitive, horse-led responses to each session.

At the heart of her practice is The Masterson Method®, an interactive approach that uses the horse’s subtle responses to guide the work and leads to the release of tension. Becky’s hands also draw on over a decade of training across a range of powerful modalities including:

  • Myofascial Release

  • Craniosacral Therapy (EcoSomatics Equine)

  • Tucker Biokinetics Functional Alignment

  • SureFoot Pads for postural stability and proprioception

  • Photonic Health Red Light Therapy

  • BEMER PEMF circulation support

  • Insights from whole-horse dissection studies, anatomy intensives, and the study of fascial and several other bodywork modalities.

This integrative practice is rooted in one central principle:

“Follow the horse. Let them show us what needs attention — and then use the knowledge and the tools you possess to meet them there.”

Whether your horse needs deep structural unwinding or subtle energetic recalibration, Becky brings both the science and the stillness required to help the horse return to comfort, balance and function.
